How to paint Seagulls at Sunrise in soft pastels with Jeanne Cotter

Join me to paint this sunrise landscape. We’ll talk about tone and how to choose the lights and darks to make this vibrant early morning sky. Working with a palette of blues and a touch of pink and gold we’ll paint together. Beginning with a charcoal sketch to familiarise ourselves with the shapes and values first, and then painting with soft pastels, blending and gently moving the pigments around on the page to create soft edges and reflections.
