Valentines Rose Workshop – 14th February 2025
Learn how to paint a beautiful still life rose for Valentines day! Spend a day falling in love with soft pastels using the most delicious reds, and greens to create a romantic rose. This one-day workshop is designed for the intermediate adult student, so if you’ve attended some of my classes or have some experience with soft pastels or other mediums, this workshop is for you!
There will be two parts to today’s workshop;
1. Using charcoal to draw and shade a tonal study of our subject and;
2. To draw and colour the same subject with soft pastels.
So, technically, you’ll complete two artworks in a day! Prepare to dive deep into the deliciousness of soft pastels and create a beautiful romantic still life painting.
What to bring: Your lunch & snack, an apron and an old hand towel.

Here are some comments about previous workshops and classes…
“I just wanted to say thank you for a lovely weekend. It was great and well worth the drive up to Toowoomba from Brisbane. You have such a lovely teaching style, always are calm and encouraging and just a sweet person. It’s so nice to be with others too, who share the pastels bug.” Debbie 2023
Lyn said “A HUGE shout out to Jeanne Cotter – I’ve just had the pleasure over the last six weeks of taking Jeanne’s beginner pastel course. This last week we had to do online thanks to the lockdown. I can’t tell you how professional she is and brilliant in imparting her wealth of knowledge. If you get a chance to do one of her courses – do it!” 2021
